The Kingston City Run, now part of Kingston Pirate’s Week, brings together communities and corporations to help raise funds for Kingston’s most vulnerable. Choose between the thrilling 10K race or the family-friendly 5K Walk/Run/Wheel, and celebrate Jamaica’s pirate history with costume contests, entertainment, and more.

Who We Are
Kingston City Run was founded in 2013 by Nicola Madden-Greig and Christopher Jarrett has to help uplift Kingston and support our most vulnerable—through an event that promotes health, wellness, and the city’s best spirit. Organised by the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (Kingston Chapter), powered by local sponsors, passionate volunteers, and a thriving community. Changing lives, one step at a time!
Charities You Help Support
Open Arms Drop-In Centre - Shelter, meals, and life skills for Kingston’s homeless community.
Marie Atkins Night Shelter - A safe haven and support for hundreds each year.
Alpha Boys School - Education and hope for at-risk youth & future musicians.
Missionaries of the Poor - Caring for the homeless, abandoned, and destitute with love and dignity.
- The purpose of raising funds to assist the 2025 Kingston City Run beneficiaries Alpha Boys Institute, The Open Arms Development Centre, Marie Atkins Night Shelter, The Missionaries of the Poor and Food For The Poor.
- These charities specifically assist the homeless and other vulnerable groups providing food, clothing, medical care, shelter and training towards self-sufficiency.
