Starting May 7, all U.S. citizens must have a REAL ID to travel to the United States, meaning a regular driver’s license will no longer be valid for travel. If you have a valid passport, you can use it instead, and we highly recommend keeping your passport up to date. Additionally, this identification is required for cruise travel departing from San Juan. If you do not have a valid passport, you will need a REAL ID along with an original birth certificate issued after July 2010.
